First of all, I would like to thank you for your comments. I love reading them and I also love replying to them. But, the problem is that most of you are "noreply-commenters" which means that your comment is not linked to an email address. If you would like to check if you are no-reply and to change it, here is a post that explains you how to (it's in Spanish, but it's only a matter of choosing an option on your blogger profile, seeing the picture is enough)

Now, tell me, Would you like a coffee? Let me show you my latest work. I made this placemat, following this wonderful tutorial by Ana from Quilterbell. It is very well explained, and a technique that I thought would be impossible for me to try has been unveiled, and now I consider it a very entertaining and addictive work.

As I had an extra piece I decided to make yet another pincushion. What do you think?

This duffle has been designed by Anna from Noodlehead. If you don't know her blog, you should visit it. She shares lots of amazing tutorials and very interesting tips for sewing bags and purses
Some time ago she published this Free pattern on Robert Kauffman webpage and I downloaded it very willing to do it, because I thought it was the perfect weekend bag.
But, you know, life happens and the pattern rested there, awaiting the perfect occasion that never came
Then I read that Sophie from C'est la vie was organizing a sew along using this pattern and I didn't doubt it, it was high time I did it!
We started together and in a week I had this awesome bag. It is not an easy pattern, because it has quilting, zippers, several layers and pockets; but all it requires is a bit of patience. In their posts Anna and Sophie solve all the doubts you may have.
He conocido nuevos blogs y muy interesantes. Fue una muy buena experiencia
I used linen and two Zara Home cottons, earthy tones. You should investigate a bit, pinterest, flickr... there are models for everybody's tastes. I've met new and very interesting blogs. It has been a wonderful experience

Baranda / Fence rail

Luis likes orange, and some time ago I promised I would make a quilt for him
I had a jelly roll with lots of orange and childish drawings that I knew would be ideal

Sol had her own pink quilt, so it was high time I sewed something for Luis

I combined it with a white on white fabric set so that it resembled a ladder

For the backing I used this white, black and red cotton from Ikea (if you haven't tried Ikea's cottons for your quilts, you should)

To quilt it, I decided to break the linear structure of the pattern by drawing several spirals. I like that it resembles the waves of falling drops on water.

It was on a standby for quiet a long time and I finally finished it. That doubles the satisfaction. Sometimes the urge to post in my blog is what gives me the final push to work and finish my projects. So thanks for being there!

The first time I saw this idea in pinterest I loved it. I had a hard time finding the original post because sometimes pinterest loses the link. But here it is, an amazing blogWe had already done stenciling on tote bags with freezer paper

The idea of using paper doilies seemed amazing to me

We bought some linens from Ikea. Its quality is not very good; it resembles burlap
My sisters gathered to work together and we started with a basic idea, aiming then towards the look of postal or coffee sacks.
